Our oceanfront cottages are located in a particularly convenient setting. An ideal base location do discover and explore Nova Scotia. We are close to Halifax and the John Stanfield International Airport providing opportunities for easy day trips via car to explore destinations and attractions all around Nova Scotia.
The village of Hubbard's Cove is only minutes away which is home to a post office, cafe, shopping mall, farmer's market and fisherman's docks. Hubbards is also home to the renowned Shore Club.

Day Trips
We are within 30 miunues of , Halifax & Chester and less then 60 minutes of Lunenburg (home of the world famous Bluenose Schooner) , Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove, Annapolis Valley, wine tours and five golf courses. There is also the Bay of Fundy with the world's highest tides to be seen to believed. While visiting the valley drop in and visit at Rob's Nova Scotia Rockounding, Minerals & Lapidary Shop in Kentville
Take a short ferry ride from Chester to the Big Tancook or Little Tancook islands. Enjoy unspoiled nature, including seabirds, flora and fauna.

Our first trip to the East Coast was an unforgettable experience due to our stay at Colwell's By the Sea. From the moment we stepped into our cottage, we felt right at home. Our cottage had every amenity available and we enjoyed a warm fire every night. Our children went on a new adventure everyday in St. Margaret's Bay playing in the waves, collecting sea shells, looking at sea creatures and they even went fishing ! The cottage was close to all of the "must sees" such as Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg and Mahone Bay. Tom and Ann are wonderful hosts and go the extra mile to make sure their guests are enjoying their stay. Bernice K Ontario
