The Clam Shell Cottage
 A cosy, three bedroom cottage with all the comforts of home. Three double beds for night with all the amenities for day. A woodstove in the bricked alcove of the living room will wrap you in warmth.
The hardwood floors surround you in charm and the kitchen offers everything you need. For the ultimate in relaxation, lay back in the whirlpool bath and wash your wearies away.
The Eel Pot Cottage - 5 Bedrooms - Sleeps 8 !
  Hand hewn timbers and an open theme makes this cottage truly unique. It is your own private lodget. When you visit, we'll tell you the story of this century old building. Five bedrooms (three doubles and two singles upstairs) will make the whole family comfy, especially with two complete bathrooms. There is also a full size washer & dryer. Gather 'round the beautiful pump organ, circa 1898.
The Lobster Trap Cottage
Please note the Lobster Trap is fully booked in 2009 for the months of May through to October.
 An intimate, two bedroom cottage with the natural warmth of wood. The cottage is furnished with a combination of a single bed, double bed and queen sized hideabed. A glass front fireplace makes it cozy.
The cottage atmosphere helps peel away the stresses and strains of your other world. There is nothing rustic about the modern and fully appointed bath, nothing but comfort.
The Periwinkle Cottage
 Find old world charm in this two bedroom 'carriage house'. One room has a double while the other has built-in bunks. Hardwood throughout with traditional accents. Enjoy peace by the hearth of the stone fireplace, and the firewood is included. The hardwood floors surround you in charm and the kitchen, while compact, delivers all you need. For the ultimate in relaxation, lay back in the whirlpool bath and wash your wearies away.
My husband and I stayed at Colwell By the Sea Cottages, Queensland, NS in September 2008. On our arrival, we received a very warm welcome from owners, Tom and Ann. They provided a lot of valuable information that enhanced our visit of the area which included a day trip to Lunenburg, a golf game at Chester Golf Course, shopping in Mahone Bay and eating in great restaurants. We staying in the very well-equipped cottage, “Periwinkle,” best described as a little dollhouse which had everything we need for a most relaxing vacation! The view of the Whynacht's Beach from the patio deck, the crackling fireplace (with lots of wood), the library, the drinking water and most of all the extreme cleanliness of the cottage are just a few reasons why we would highly recommend Colwell By the Sea Cottages and look forward to a return visit. I think the thing that I loved the most was the fact that we felt like your friends coming to visit. Your hospitality was amazing and I can't thank you enough for making my Dads stay one that he will remember forever.
